Moving it into other space does not change the window location. Inkscape does lanch, but I only see the bottom right corner of the Inkscape window, and there seems to be no way of getting the title bar into the visible screen area of any screen. I have a related problem, pity that zabbarob's workaround does not work in my case:ĭual monitor setup (secondary screen above the MacBook Pro screen), MacBook Pro late 2008, Mavericks, Inkscape binary 0.48.2, XQartz 2.7.5.Mission control setting "Separate Screens for Spaces" enabled. * invisible windows to the right of the visual area become visible doing this trick on the right monitor * invisible windows to the left of the visual area become visible doing this trick on the left monitor it depends on where invisible windows are located: If it doesn’t work with creating a desktop on one monitor, try it with creating a desktop on another monitor. * ⇒ invisible windows get repositioned and are shown * ⇒ app windows from that desktop are moved to another desktop * create a new desktop in Mission Control so i can't see or select and therefore can't move the document properties window. once i select file > document properties they open on the left "hidden" part of X11's "window". That hack didn't work for me, but I figured out another way to move windows into the visible area.īackground: i have a MacBook Pro, with my external monitor to the left of my laptop i open inkscape on my laptop monitor by typing the app's name into spotlight on the laptop's monitor. Thank you very much! Your solution worked for me as well.įor me, the error occurred when using a CW_FORM, and the message was “Error: Unresolved inheritance operation”. ![]() I blindly (knowingly) to 2.7.11 and IDL8.4/.5 would not launch. Your solution works well! Thank you so much!! Slightly different solution to the same issue. I use that two commands and may envi 4.8 return to work. Just another silly question: what’s the version of your IDL and MACOS Sierra? I upgraded my MAC to the os version 10.12.2, can I install idl on my OS? If so, Which version of IDL is the lowest requirement? Thanks! So if someone can tell me where I should type in both commands (xterm or terminal), I will be really appreciative.Īny local terminal should fine just fine. I’m on the latest version 10.12.3, but probably was on 10.12.2 when I first did this command. I don’t know the IDL versions that are supported on 10.12.2. How far are you looking to go back? I would guess that IDL 8+ should be fine. If you have problems with graphical installer, try the Unix-Mac installer. Often the installer will be the limiting factor and, once installed, IDL will work fine.ĭoes anyone have an idea on how to speed up the X11 response?
